A driven tour (in a new Mercedes Taxi) will take you to discover the modern Tangier and then take you up to the Northwestern tip of the African continent where the strait of Gibraltar embraces the Atlantic Ocean. Not far from this extraordinary site, the Hercules caves will take you back to the original location of the first people established in Tangier.
Then, the Kasbah gate introduces you to the other Tangier, the Medina with its white-washed houses, small privacy proof windows and narrow alleys. The way will slowly take you to the Kasbah Square and to the sultan’s palace.
Lunch will be served in a local restaurant where you will enjoy traditional arab food and teas.
The Medina offers you a good opportunity to shop around; leather, native silver Berber jewelery and hand mad rugs are amongst the most attractive items produced in the country. A stop at the spices is a must before you head out of the market area.

Great for families
Our main reason for hiring a private tour was the fact that we had a 4 month old baby. We needed a tour company that would be patient and understanding for us taking breaks to feed and change the baby, and Julio and his team were most accommodating. The other trip was to Granada&Alhambra. There we had some diffidulties as the guide was not 100 % top of all things. But she did make her best effort.
The price was a bit high, but as we did two trips, we got a bit of a discount.

We did two tours with Julio, one to Ronda and the other to Morocco. Julio was very knowledgeable and most accommodating to all out needs. When in Morocco we were met by his associate and driver. Julio was with us there also, didn’t just send us on the ferry and tell us to look for them. We felt very safe at all times.
